How to get a basketball

This is for Maricopa County only (Phoenix, Mesa, Scottsdale, etc.).

Fill out the request

It takes about 1–2 minutes. You can request for yourself or nominate someone else.

We choose recipients

We gift 10–25 balls per month. If lots of people apply, we use a random lottery. We usually pick recipients around the 25th each month and message winners within 48 hours.

We ship it

We ship through Amazon home delivery. Balls may arrive a little soft—easy to inflate at a gym/rec center/store.

How it works

We gift a limited number of basketballs each month in Maricopa County. Submissions are open throughout the month, and winners are selected near the end of the month.

Kids are welcome to apply. If you’re under 18, we ship to a parent/guardian name.
We ship only. No in-person meetups.

Ball size

Quick rule: Under 9 → Size 4. Ages 9–11 → Size 5. Ages 12–14 boys / women & girls 12+ → Size 6. Boys 15+ / men → Size 7.

Delivery

Home delivery only: Amazon Locker pickup is tricky to coordinate (pickup codes + timing), so we keep it simple and ship to your home.

Shipping recipient name

If you’re 18+, you can enter your own name.

Shipping address

Consent: If the recipient is under 18, I confirm this is a parent/guardian’s address and they approve receiving this package.

Privacy promise: We use addresses only to ship the ball. We delete names/addresses after fulfillment and never share your information with anyone.

Maricopa County only: I confirm the recipient is located in Serving Greater Phoenix.

Fairness: I’m not submitting duplicate requests for the same household.

If I’m under 18: I confirm my parent/guardian is aware and approves this request (and can be the shipping recipient).

I understand: We gift 10–25 balls per month, may use a lottery, ship only (no meetups), and limit to 1 per household per 12 months.

We may not be able to respond to every request. Selected recipients will be contacted near month-end.

Where do you operate?
Currently: Maricopa County, Arizona only.

Can kids apply?
Yes. If you're under 18, we ship to a parent/guardian name.

Where can I inflate it?
Many places can inflate a basketball quickly: school gyms/coaches, rec centers/YMCA, sporting goods stores, and sometimes bike shops. If you have a ball pump at home, that works too.

Do you accept donations?
Not at this time. If you want to support or ask about donating, please use the Partnership form.

How are recipients chosen?
We gift 10–25 basketballs per month. If requests exceed supply, we use a random lottery.

Can you drop one off in person?
No. For safety and privacy, we ship only (home delivery or Amazon Locker pickup).

Can I request more than one?
We limit to 1 basketball per household per 12 months so we can help more people.

Privacy

We collect only what we need to fulfill a basketball gift (contact info, shipping details, city, and size preference). We do not sell or share your information. We protect your privacy and delete addresses after fulfillment.

We may remove shipping details from our records after fulfillment. We may share aggregate impact publicly (e.g., “25 balls across Maricopa County”) without names or addresses.
